Signal to Noise Ratio Good 63 dB
20 Hz Total Harmonic Distortion

Very Good

0.05% @ -0.4 dB

19 & 20 kHz Intermodulation Distortion Poor 0.68% @ 0 dB
Dynamic Range Excellent 94 dB
Jitter Distortion Very Good <-83 dB
Equipment Used: Test media was a custom CD created with CoolEdit Pro 1.1 in 32 bit mode, converted to 16 bit with 0.53 bits of spectrally uniform, Gaussian distributed dither; and burned onto Ricoh media using a Plexstor R412C and EZ CD Deluxe 3.5. Signals processed into computer using an LynxONE. Signal analysis with SpectraLab 3.32.14.

Discussion Of Results

The relatively high jitter and high Frequency IM distortion suggest problems handling program material at high frequencies. The relatively poor SNR with a signal present suggests that the DAC has modulation noise. This in turn, suggests that the DAC is nonlinear or missing bits.
