Even though the brand name is the same as the Fiji, the performance is not! One telltale sign is that the main chip is from S3, far better known for video display cards than audio cards.

Analog Performance wise, this card shapes up as being a little worse than the Ensonic PCI. On balance, it provides hardware MIDI as opposed to the Ensonic's software MIDI.

The frequency response chart seems ragged, but remember this test is a round-trip and the vertical scale has been expanded to 0.1 dB per major division. Response is +/- 0.4 dB out to 18 Khz. The 0.8 dB dip centered about 1 kHz is probably slightly audible to careful listeners with very good speakers, even if half that size for a one-way trip. Some might find it vaguely euphonic. However, compared to the ESS and EPO cards, it is really pretty flat.

THD and noise are really pretty good, bested only by the Ensoniq and Fiji cards. Compare these to the AWE64, and if the MIDI performance is subjectively up to snuff, it might be a contender, if priced competitively.
